- A strategic partnership with Chaevi to establish foundation for collaboration in the EV sector
- Aims to provide required infrastructure to accelerate EV adoption by providing charging solutions
- Latest charging infrastructure to be introduced to more than 460 T-Station stores nationwide

Seoul, Korea, December 2, 2022 – Global leading tire company Hankook Tire signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Daeyong Chaevi (Chaevi), a leading Korean electric vehicle (EV) charging service provider, on December 1. The new partnership aims to build infrastructure that expands the accessibility to EV chargers to cater to the accelerating growth of EVs in Korea.

Through this agreement, Hankook Tire is adding the newest Chaevi electric vehicle charging stations to its tire-focused total auto service center, T-Station to make charging services more convenient for visiting customers. The two businesses will also improve client hospitality and actively expand their cooperation in the field of electric vehicles.

Chaevi is a leading provider of electric vehicle charging services with more than 4,000 charging stations in Korea and is now expanding to foreign markets such as the Americas and Europe. Hankook Tire also held an EV charging credit giveaway event for buyers in collaboration with Chaevi as part of the local launch promotion of its EV tire product line, Hankook iON.

Hankook Tire’s T-Station offers unique O2O (Online to Offline) services through more than 460 offline locations across the country that provide standardized vehicle maintenance services with cutting-edge equipment and professionals, and ‘T-Station.com’, an online platform that enables easy and convenient tire shopping.

Hankook Tire is continuing its innovation as a leader in the electric vehicle market by supplying tires for new EV models of various global car makers. Earlier this year, Hankook was named the official exclusive supplier and technical partner of the ABB FIA Formula E World Series, the world’s most prestigious electric vehicle racing championship. The company intends to utilize the data and experience obtained to further advance its innovative tire technology for its consumer EV tire product lines.
