Located in Taean, Chungcheongnam-do, Hankook Technoring is Asia's largest and most advanced tire driving test center, with a site area of 1.26 million square meters (380,000 pyeong), a size of about 125 soccer fields.

Hankook Technoring develops innovative technology for high-end tires and specialized tires for electric vehicles and supercars through various tests such as high-speed driving tests with a maximum speed of over 250km/h.

The high-speed main circuit, Hankook Technoring's signature course, is designed for high-speed driving tests with a maximum speed of 250km/h, and allows for slalom driving and driving in a straight lane at high speed on a 4-lane track. With a total length of 4.6km, the slope of the of the banked road* is approximately 38.87° completing the extreme test.
* Banked road: A curved road with raised edges in the HSO to ensure a safe turn at high speed.
This track allows for speed tests up to 200km/h max to check steering stability and limited tire performance. Extensive steering stability testing and a lane change skid pad provides a more complete test.
* VDA: Vehicle Dynamics Area
Built to test steering stability on a dry road surface, this track features a total length of 3.4km with 16 corners. The max length of the straight section is 670km, which allows a speed test up to 190km/h max.
Built for a wet road surface test, this track features a total length of 1.6km and has 11 various corners and allows a driving speed of 128km/h max. With an adjusted water depth from 1mm to 10mm, close observation of the effect of tire patterns and compounds is ensured on the curved water film.
Our tires surmount all obstacles without a hitch. The large-scale obstacle road contains unpaved roads and a wide variety of obstacles, enabling tests under harsh environments. We are ready to travel a rugged path and our research aims to shape the future of off-road tires.
