Australian F4 Championship kicks off the 2019 season with Hankook Tire

March 18, 2019 (Seoul, Korea) – Global leading premium tire maker Hankook Tire (President & CEO Hyun Bum Cho) will be exclusively supplying racing tires to the 2019 season of Australian F4 Championship, which will open from March 14 to 17, in Melbourne, Australia.
The Australian Formula 4 Championship, hosted by the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS), is one of the preeminent open-wheel racing categories for elite junior kart racers seeking to enter the top Formula One competition. Since 2015, Hankook Tire has exclusively supplied 'Ventus F200' and 'Ventus Z206 & Z207' racing tires to the Australian F4 Championship.
This season will start in Melbourne with six rounds. Heated competition between drivers with racing cars that weigh just 555kg, equipped with Ford EcoBoost 1.6-litre turbo engine, 160bhp with Castrol lubricants, and a six-speed sequential paddle shift is expected. As the top three drivers will be selected to represent Australia in the Formula 4 Asia Pacific Cup, competition is expected to become even more intense this season.
